Improving interoperability with pip

   Conda 4.6.0 added improved support for interoperability between conda and pip. This involved the now deprecated ``prefix_data_interoperability`` configuration setting. Conda can install supported packages from PyPI using the ``conda-pypi`` channel. For setup instructions and supported workflows, see :doc:`/user-guide/tasks/install-packages-from-pypi`.
